I know, it's been awhile...sleep deprivation and stuff. You know.
So Robby was supposed to leave for Texas on Sunday for six days. He was going to work at Daystar for the week. Then the following week, Tuesday-Saturday, he is leaving for Canada to run lights for Starfield to kick off their tour. So I was already quite nervous about being by myself, especially considering how these last few nights have gone, and how desperate I am for help at the end of the day. Then Gateway called and wanted Robby to work at their services next weekend. They did not know he would already be in town, and it's good money for two extra days, but it was just too hard to think of him being gone for eight days right now. Plus that gives him only one day at home before leaving for Canada.
So...yesterday I started brainstorming how I might be able to go with him. Then we learned that our good friends Aaron and Jaime are going on a cruise next week, and being the generous people that they are, they are letting us house-sit for them for the whole week! So we leave Sunday after church. Long road trip with a 2-year-old and a 2-week-old, but we'll make it! Even though Robby will be working the whole time, it will be nice to get away and SO great to see our Texas friends!

That sounds so hard to go on a long road trip with babies!! Yikes! But I know you will have a good time when you get there, and get to see friends and not be by yourself for so long! Have a great time!
we drove to texas when leia was newborn (she was like 1 month old) & kaia was about 3 1/2. they did really good...however i do recommend getting one of those portable dvd players with the t.v. screens that you strap on to the back of the seats, those were a lifesaver (for kaia)...and lots of snacks. have fun & be careful! :)
That's funny. I am going to DFW too! I took Scarlet on the five hour road trip to DFW when she was two weeks old, and it wasn't too bad.
Keaton will hopefully sleep most of the time, and just make sure to pack lots of Sesame Street DVD's for Kadence. I hope you have fun! I love all the new pictures on the blog! Megan is talented!
