My baby girl turned 2 today!
We started out the day with a special birthday breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Yum.
We had a party at the park planned for this evening, but it looked like this outside:
and it continued to storm all day long . I don't think it got above 55 degrees all day. (It is currently 44 degrees here as I write - what happened to August?) So...we moved the party at the last minute to our messy house. After a hectic trip to Walmart for party supplies, Tina and the girls showed up at our door with Pine-Sol, paper towels, and a mop in hand, and attacked our house. They baked Kadence's cake, decorated with streamers and balloons, and cleaned the entire first floor. They even scrubbed the toilet. We could not have pulled off this last-minute party switch without them! By the time our guests showed up, you would never have known that our house has been a mess of laundry, dishes, toys, and baby stuff for the past week. It was sparkling.
Our wonderful friends have been so amazing these past couple of weeks. We have had dinner brought to us every night since Keaton was born and we have more waiting in the freezer. They have brought us flowers, offered to watch Kadence, and come to visit the baby. And after all this, they still showed up with gifts in hand to celebrate Kadence's birthday. We are so blessed.

She felt so special opening all of her gifts. This musical card was quite the hit!
Lovin' the cake! Of course it was followed by ice cream and M&M's...sugar high?
Kadence actually only opened half of her presents during the party because she was so sidetracked by the promise of cake...so after all the guests left, she finished opening her gifts. The big one from Mommy and Daddy was this mini power wheels. She fit perfectly and we can't wait for her to try it out tomorrow!
Daddy and Keaton. This little guy slept through most of the party and was passed around to different arms all night. He is such a cuddler.
I just cannot believe our little girl is 2. Happy Birthday Kadence. I love you and think you are the cutest, sweetest girl in the whole world. I'm so proud to be your mommy.

I am so proud of you for all that you have been doing after just having the second child. Keaton is adorable and Kadence seems like she has adjusted quickly.

I love this post, but I have tears in my eyes... I really didn't think it would have that affect, but it does. She is precious and will always have such a special place in my heart. I am really glad you guys are happy, you look like you belong there, with family to help you and support you. Keaton is adorable! Give Kadence a birthday kiss for me ok?
